Saturday 23 March 2019 – The Snowdon Horseshoe

A magnificent trek to the highest summit in Wales (and anything south of the Scottish border!).  From the high mountain pass of Pen-y-pass we take the Pyg track up to the summit of Snowdon (the welsh name is Yr Wyddfa which roughly translates as ‘The Tomb’!), and for our descent we take in the twin peaks of Y Lliwedd finishing with Miner's Track.  A classic mountain trek of unforgettable views.

Sunday 24 March 2019 – Moel Siabod

The view from the summit of Moel Siabod. The Snowdon Horseshoe in the distance.

The ascent of Moel Siabod via the ridge of Daear Ddu is up there with the very best.  Only falling slightly short of being a 3000er is mountain day with moorland, rocky ridges, wide open plateau of boulder fields and huge views of the stunning panoramic scenery.  A very definite mountain day to remember.

Moel Siabod

When is it all happening? Saturday 23rd to Sunday 24th March 2019.

Who is leading the walks? Our qualified and experienced mountain leader will be navigating the walks and making sure we go the right way, even if we end up with our heads in the clouds!  We will make sure that the pace is right for everyone, that you are all safe, and of course having heaps of fun!

How much will it cost? The cost is only £55 for the weekend which includes hiring your Mountain Leader, and digital summit photos to prove to all of your friends that you did it!!

What about accommodation? We haven’t included this in the price as in our experience, people enjoy different things, but we can help you find what you want if you need a hand.  There are plenty of B&Bs, hotels, bunk-houses, and for the hardcore, campsites in and around the Betws y Coed and Capel Curig area.

Will I be fit enough? Yes!  If you are moderately active on a regular basis you will be more than capable of enjoying the weekend.  The walks will take between 6 and 7 hours a day and there are a few ups and downs which provide a challenge, but we don’t race round, we take regular breaks and no-one will be left behind!

How do I book? There is a maximum of 12 places per trip allocated on a first come, first serve basis. So to make sure that one of them is yours, please book by clicking on 'Register for this event' at the top right of this page and we’ll email you a list of what you need to bring, details of where to meet and help with accommodation if required.
